I loved this book - great mix of life, hard lessons, boundaries, compassion, and motivation for life. Great read.

Not going to lie, I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this Audiobook. But, wow. So so good. It is hard to separate Curtis Jackson from his on stage persona, 50 Cent or Kanan on Power, but to hear him speak his truth and tell his story, was inspiring. From cultivating relationships and making moves that propelled him from the streets to the stage, every move Jackson makes is with purpose: deals with long term dividends versus short term payouts or leaked tracks that provide more social media hype and generate more sales than an unmotivated music exec team. Part biography and part business seminar, I really enjoyed my time in the car with Mr. Cent. Now, off to watch his hit series, Power. And the several spin-offs.

I enjoyed hearing this audiobook more than I imagined. It was a easy listen.

fever dream of a book

It was a decent book. 50 offers an interesting entrepreneurial perspective of his upbringing by presenting the various opportunities that could have been turned into success. He falls short by giving little details as to his human experience as he grew up. Not a bad leisure read.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Curtis, Mr. Jackson if you’re nasty, offers some smart, grounded advice on looking out for yourself/your brand so you can get ahead. He uses memorable quips like, “Focus on the potential, not the payday.” Then he drives home his point with examples from his own life experiences … which are pretty, damned amazing.

This was a sleeper! I am not a fan of his music but have started watching Power. Book popped up and decided why not. I am surprised by how much I enjoyed the book. Well done.

A great book especially if you need a little motivation
