4th May, 2023:

I have never read a book that uses "the less you say, the more it will be," this well.

Things introduced always came around full circle. And everything held a good delicate balance. Themes, monologues, flashbacks, action scenes, everything told in the right place, at the right time without being too overwhelming.

It reminded me a little of Ursula K LeGuin's writing even though this wasn't a fantasy read.

I enjoyed following along this interesting cast of characters on their adventure to uncover a plot against them and fix the organization they worked with for years. The nonlinear timeline showcased the character development in a really enlightening way.

What a cute, fun book. I love me a curmudgeon! There’s a bunch in this book, older lady killers. They’re smart, seasoned, and bad ass. I love how they come together. Lots of clever assassination scenes. It’s definitely hilarious with great one liners. Highly recommend if you like hilarious situations and aging badasses.

The girl gang of my middle-aged dreams. Five women, trained killers, must put their skills to the test when they become targets for assassination by the agency that employs them. Through flashbacks, readers learn how these women came to be killers and how they were trained. Once on the run, the women must learn to trust each other again after their resources are stolen and their covers burned. While we learn something about each killer, some characters' backgrounds are filled in better than others. Still, an exciting well-paced story about never underestimating or undervaluing older women.
