What a crazy year for Tig! I love her humor and perspective about all she went through.

Beautifully written

Do not read unless you plan to ruminate on the eminence of death. Tig really opens up those tear ducts .

Live happens to be one of my favorite works of art. it was so nice to dive into the story a bot further.

I cannot speak highly enough about both this book and the woman who wrote it.

I first heard about Tig Notaro when her set about her cancer went viral. I didn’t realize that most people heard about her for the first time then, too.

This memoir has some funny bits and others that are gut-wrenching. It’s a quick read but far more meaty than other celebrity memoirs. My only critique is that her treatment of her relationship with Louis C.K.(presumably, though he’s not named) is oblique to the point of evasiveness.

Good writing, compelling story. It was calm and honest and not trying too hard to be funny (a danger when comedians write). Even not knowing much of her stand-up, I cared about her journey (which includes health battles, losing her mother, and a break up all within 4 months). The author read the audiobook version and did a good job.

I absolutely love Tig. I’ve seen her in person and she puts on an amazing show. It seems intimate, unique and funny. So my expectations may have been off, because this book was a let down.

I know quite a bit of her story through other outlets so this book was not a great listen for me. Tig narrated the book which I thought would be great, but her typical
monotone voice was so flat that it was hard to feel much even though so much of her story is wrought with pain, emotion and humor. I mean the title was I’m just a person, so maybe that’s her point; I’m not just a comedian - all fun and laughs.

I did laugh out loud multiple times so it wasn’t all serious and dull. My favorite scene was when she spoke to her mother’s picture. If I was drinking I would have spit my drink out; it was so Tig’s typical dry one liners.

I love Tig and it pains me not to rave about any of her work.

Now I must watch her Largo stand up
