Beautifully written, poignant and moving. It was almost cathartic to read as I lost my mother this year and my father has been seeing someone which is a painful process for everyone. But the adage, "life is for the living" has stayed around for all this time because it is real and true.

Such a lovely book

I actually loved this book so much. It tells the story of two elderly strangers who find a connection at the last hurdle of their life. It is beautiful, but sad. But not because they are old, mainly because society has decided that old people cannot find connection so late in life, and they are only destined to be mothers or grandpa's or rot away alone. This is a hopeful book that is really about how human connection is something we always need, right until the bitter end.
