Favorite book of 2022. Didn’t want it to end. Interesting for me to read historical fiction based on the French resistance during WWII. Plus the facts of wine and champagne making were an added bonus. Well written.

Another deja vu read. I swear I’ve read this book before. Interesting but predictable story about 1940’s France. The main character, Ines, was naive, selfish, and overall unlikeable. She marries a vineyard owner just before Europe dissolves into another World War. Their story of survival and resistance is fascinating and I would have liked to know more details. It was much more of a convoluted love triangle with tragic consequences.
