A good combination of sci-fi, mystery and noir. The book was well written but was slow to read for me. I wanted to come back to it often but could only read it in small sections because the reading was dense at times. Looking forward to part 2.

Really loved this. I love a good space opera. A great and interesting storyline, a very surprising plottwist at the end and two intriguing main characters. I especially loved the parts where Miller and Holden interacted. Overall it felt like a really well thought out set up for a bigger story, at times it was a bit slow but that's understandable - it is after all the first book in an epic series and so the authors had to deal with loads of world building. They did a great job and I'm really curious to see how the story continues in book two.
