Long as shit. Ton of interesting info…but that’s all I remember. The popular culture around vikings is weird and largely incorrect, which they address at length with a lot of discussion on what was found in what archaeological site and whatnot - which there are so many it’s overwhelming and kind of incredible - but kind of hard to keep track of everything we got wrong. Honestly just really thankful for a nonfiction book to be an audiobook though.

An all-encompassing, fantastic introduction to the world of the Vikings. I learned so much about the inner workings of these people and how they lived. Perhaps more importantly, learning how the world around them shaped their culture and how they in turn influenced the world. Fascinating read, well worth the time and introduction to future reading materials.
