This was an unexpected twist and I loved it. It’s set at Christmas time.

I was intrigued enough to read this whole book in one sitting, but I’m not really sure how I feel about it. On one hand, it’s a sweet story of a Christmas miracle. On the other, it’s a completely unrealistic tale with a main character who has no backbone.

Didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to, there was too much logic you had to put aside to find any of it believable, despite it saying upfront it is a fable.

bingeable, couldn’t put this book down at the last 20%

this was not a typical Kristin Hannah book

This book was ... interesting. Not a good interesting. The only reason it has 3 stars is because it's Kristin Hannah. I don't know if this was time travel or paranormal.

How did Joy even get to the "cabin", "lodge", etc. She was in a coma. Did her spirit leave her body when the explosion happened? Did the explosion even happen? Was she found unconscious in her seat? I just have so many questions.

Thankfully this was a short read. I do feel bad for Joy that her sister had an affair with her husband and then ended up marrying him. But how Joy goes off to find this boy & man, not knowing if they are real! So unrealistic, but this is FICTION.

I feel like this is probably actually a 3⭐️ read but because it is Kristin Hannah I was just more let down if that makes sense. I just love her writing so much but this one was soooo different from her other books I’ve read that it didn’t settle well. I didn’t like that Joy just forgave her sister for getting engaged to her ex husband and cheating on her with him but oh well. Semi like a Hallmark movie
