This was not a normal Kristin Hannah book. This was a “Kristin has been watching too many Hallmark movies” book. It was a pretty unrealistic book and the characters weren’t particularly well developed, but at the end of the day a good Hallmark movie type book might be the reading break you need.
I read this in two days. It's a quick little read. Many here on Goodreads seem to hate it. But I loved it. It is not like any of Kristin Hannah's deep reads. It is a fun little holiday book that did bring a few little tears to my eyes. Suspend disbelief if you read this book and you might enjoy it too.

Since this is a Kristin Hannah book I guess I was expecting a bit more. For the most part this is your typical Hallmark Channel romance. An interesting twist redeemed it bit but not enough that I could recommend it unless you're really in the mood for a fluffy holiday book.
