This book is so far fetched and poorly written that I found it tough to suspend my disbelief long enough to take it seriously. The only reason it gets a star is because I loved the protagonist. Kristin Hannah always does a good job of giving you characters you can't help but root for, and this book is no exception.
Everyone loves Kristin Hannah..and I probably should not have picked this one as my first of hers to read. I love strong female characters and Joy was not that. I also hate how she just forgave her sister?? Bleh. It was fast though so I finished it.
Oh my gosh! The first part of this book is JUST the thing to put you in the holiday spirit, it’s so cozy and delightful. The second part is fine, just a struggle in realism - which is why I’m giving it three rather than four stars.
KH never disappoints but I felt this book ended a little abruptly with too many unanswered questions.
3.5 i wasn’t sure where this was going at first but it ended up very cute :)
