Magical ! So well written. made me cry and laugh and i was sad when i finished it.
Super predictable, for the first time ever I figured out the plot from the literal get go. Nice fast read for the holidays, but definitely not her greatest. It just felt …. Meh. Still love KH though!
Not sure what to make of this book ... definitely my least favorite by this author. To be honest it felt like a sappy Christian romance where instead of improbable occurrences being attributed to acts of God or Spirit, they were simply described as “magic” (and generally I’m a fan of magical realism, but this story just didn’t do it for me). Disappointing because I’ve loved everything else I’ve read by Kristin Hannah and she does have some beautiful phrases and descriptions in this story too, but overall this isn’t one I’d recommend for Christmas (or anytime) reading.

A good novel. Sweet story with some fun twists. It ended a little quicker than I wanted, but it didn't leave me hanging on a plot twist.
This book felt very cringy….. I was going to give it one star but the twist towards the end (that I was hoping for and guessed) made it much better! I’m glad I finished it, because after thinking about it’s a cool twisty plot story, but I’m not sure I would recommend.
