I've been reading Flora Ferrari's recent works, so if I compare them to this, I'd find this lacking a lot of passion and chemistry. But it was still good. Parker and Sophia did have a lot of pent-up feelings for each other, but it wasn't as emphasised as it would have been if the author wrote this story recently. I believe this book would have been better if there were a few actually possessive/jealous scenes added in there. Plot-wise, it was simple. Characters didn't have a lot of development though.

I loved how Parker had such a strong moral code that he followed as an ex-cop. He planned such an amazing first date with Sophia's interests in mind. Sophia liked the idea of being possessed by Parker and he was well worth the wait. I laughed when Parker was explaining his relationship with Sophia to Sam.
