Honestly this one fell flat for me. I skimmed a lot of it. Maybe just the timing or the writing but it felt like a lot of words. It was fine.

I like a slow burn and even the single dad trope but this was just not it for me. I did like Amos. Amos was great!

This book was so many different shades of perfect. I loved Aurora so so so so so much. It’s definitely because i saw myself SO much in her. It was so easy for me to read this book because of the fact that I was able to support all the decisions Aurora made, as they were decisions i could very well see myself make. OH. MY. GOD. Tobias Rhodes. Someone find me a Rhodes ASAP. I cannot put into words how deeply in love I am with this man. I loved Amos so much too. He was a really good book kid. Found family so on top. All of Ora’s friends were SUCH good friends too. I also really badly want to go on a hike now ahaha. The deeper topics in this book were portrayed immensely well too. One of my favourite books of all time, and especially of all the MZ books i’ve read so far.

I skimmed most of this book to see if ANYTHING happened, it didn’t

I don’t know how I finished this book, I found it so boring and repetitive.

3.5 ⭐️s! I will say, Rhodes is now in my top 3 heroes from MZ’s world of men, the broody personality always makes me swoon for some reason. (Even after he called her Buddy, ugh! Hated that) , I wish he was in the book more, we finally got more of him around the middle? It’s a lot of internal dialogue with her h’s, which she has mastered because I can keep reading without getting annoyed and putting the book down.

I also have to remind myself going into these slow burns that I’ll never feel satisfied at the end. This one only had one love scene and while it was soooo good, there weren’t anymore
