This book has possibly changed my life— it has certainly altered my faith! I’m grateful to Barr for putting into words (and providing detailed evidence for) feelings I’ve had about women in Christianity since I was a young girl.

Better than I expected. Though Catholic, I have little experience with Evangelicals so this book was eye-opening, especially when put into context of the rise of the Evangelical Right. Her arguments are no-brainers, but she uses both biblical text and historical analysis to silence her haters.
