an interesting return to a universe i love so much. i always get so melancholic after coming back to Dream’s universe, it’s a feeling i seem to love wallowing in.
not every take is on equal footing, though, each of the endless had pros and cons to their characterizations that largely extend to these vignettes. characters that are defined through the story are given more of the same; some of the endless we don’t see much during sandman’s mainline run also receive more of the same (i.e. destruction, despair, and destiny getting the short end of the stick)
but it’s still sandman. i will always love it.

The issue about Dream is the highlight. It's interesting to see The Endless young (relatively speaking) and with almost wholly different demeanors, and the deep ties to DC Universe mythology is a welcome note. Mileage varies on the other stories.
Definitely a hard pass on this one.
I don't know why writers and artists like writing Delerium so much. It's like word soup. Maybe it's more fun to write than it is to read. Like the erotic novel I wrote where I got a magic machine that puts me into all the nude scenes from 70's boob comedies.

An amazing introduction to Dream's siblings. The art is so varied and unique. The writing is, as always, unpredictable and fascinating. These are modern myths and I highly recommend this one if you're getting into the series or reading before checking out the TV show
