There’s a rawness and unnerving brutality to this book. The reader is drowned in Olga’s agitation — the poison and disfunction of her unhinging. Ferrante has an uncanny ability to make you doubt the sanest parts of yourself and sink into the depth of collapse…or is it catharsis?

Emotional, sad and addictive, sums up the experience of a what a woman can go through after her husband leaves her for another woman.

what happened i dont know!!
did she poison her dog? was it the husband? was it neither?

Wasn’t a huge fan of the writing style, a bit rambling at times. Felt a somewhat repetitive and characters were a bit one-dimensional. Didn’t like the main character and it was quite upsetting how she treated her children and their dog. Uncomfortable to read, not in a good way. Some parts had potential to address interesting themes but mostly I just wanted to skim through to finish it.
