Shes better then me cause i would have killed myself if i had kids like that

I was enjoying this book but midway the main character really started to annoy me in a way I have never felt before while reading. The long winded descriptions of confusion in one scene in particular made me so frustrated I wanted to skip entire pages because it was so unnecessary. During this there is a scene with her dog that made me so angry I instantly lost any empathy for this woman.

Brutally delicious. It has left large dark blotchy bruises all over me, that’ll last for weeks on end.

Brutal es decir poco.
Esto no puede más que representar una realidad muy cercana para la autora.
Es un tema que siento que anda dando vueltas en muchas partes.

Whoa. I have so many thoughts about this book, some of which can be found in this post: https://www.instagram.com/p/CxllWBeL-TT/.

What I would find really interesting is how different people perceive this book because I feel like how you see it says more about you than the book itself. How would a misogynist read it? A woman* who has internalised sexism but doesn't yet know about it? A feminist woman*, a feminist cis man?

This book was so amazing. Anything I say about it can't help but be trite. It was overwhelming and perfect. Read it forever.
