I saw a comment that said "this book feels like a warm hug" and I couldn't agree more. Such a feel good story that didn't feel overly cheesy. The plotting felt quite original as well. I absolutely adored this one!
4.5 ⭐️ rounding up to 5 because this book made me happy. It was wholesome and heartwarming, and had me in tears more than once. Some of Marcellus’s lines also had me audibly cracking up.
It was a slow start.. first 30% I could not understand for the life of me why this book got such good reviews.. but slowly the pieces started coming together and by the end I couldn’t put it down.
Also I just have to say Cameron is literally the worst. His character couldn’t have been made just a tinyy bit more likeable??

A novel I started just because I like ocean animals and now I love them even more! Thank you Marcellus and Tova.
but in all seriously I enjoyed reading this a lot more than I thought I would, the book was written in the POV of an old lady and frankly I thought it was going to be boring. BUT DAMN THIS OLD LADY SLAYS. THIS BOOK IS THE DEFINITION OF FOUND FAMILY and was the perfect comfort for winter break!!

The only thing I really liked about this book was the octopus. Cameron was annoying to me and Tova didnt deserve what happened to her. It was just too many stories at one time.
