Open House kept me entertained & guessing, two things I love when reading suspense!

Ten years ago, college student Emma McCullough walked off from a party in the woods to never be seen again • A mystery most wrote off as a suicide that continues to haunt her family, including younger sister Haley • When a stranger comes across a bracelet at the bottom of a gorge, it is the first piece of evidence ever found when it is proven to be Emma's...and the location points to the possibility something more happened that night

With the police back investigating the case, Emma's closest college friends and two teachers are brought back in for questioning • Haley finds herself in the middle of a tangled web as the connections between them all start to surface, and her fiancé Dean turns out to be in the midst of it all as well • It becomes clear Haley didn't know everything going on with her sister all those years ago & everyone has a secret they're trying to keep buried

Everyone was a legit suspect in my mind & the author plays a fantastic game of bait and switch throughout the book, multiple times • Well-paced, Open House brings the drama & toxic characters • It felt like reading a more grown-up Christopher Pike story or Fear Street book from my younger years & I absolutely loved that vibe!

⭐️⭐️⭐️

There was so much I liked in this book. It kept me guessing. I really enjoyed the jumps back and forth from present time to the past. Overall enjoyed this book. And then the last chapter sort of let me down. It's an epilogue of sorts and it just didn't do it for me. I would have preferred it to have ended without the final pages. But overall a great read. I always appreciate a mystery that keeps me guessing and catches me off guard.

It was ok

I felt the ending was rushed. After such a loooong set up, it would have been nice to read more about the ending. I really liked the switching from past to present.

I binged this book! Seriously unputdownable - a mystery you want to get to the bottom of and one that ultimately gets you all the answers you need. Nothing groundbreaking here, but entertaining nonetheless.

Great book!

Excellent page turner. Tons of twists and turns, will keep you guessing until the very end. I loved the segments told from Emma’s point of view. Very likeable and relatable character.
