OH MY GOD THIS IS MY FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME. the entire book was absolutely amazing and and i flew through it in 2 nights. the characters were AMAZING- including cresta which was a surprise because i hated her in the first book so much. the pining between jaren and kiva was soooo good, and everything was just perfect.

SPOILERS:
when i thought caldon died....i lost it and cried for a solid 20 minutes, but then IT WASNT REAL WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO MEEEEE
the betrayal was really good and the ending when kiva gets stabbed and looses her powers to protect jaren is just *chefs kiss*
this series is one of my favorites of all time and i must own physical copies immediately

I feel like there should have been a lot more prison reform at the end, given what we saw in the first book.

(i'm not sure abt the rating seeing as i just finished the book might change it later)

Okay so i really like the pacing of this book and again i had a lot of fun reading it, the friendships and relationship are just so heartwarming, the plot....not anything new and thats fine.i do think there were other ways the story could've unfolded but i'm fine with how it ended, Caldon and Tipp might my fav characters.
overall fun times, good vibes and yeah still sleep deprived.
P.s, romance still ate, the scene were she was  drugged!!!

Now for the quotes:

-“I did fall in love with a lie, but that lie was you. I fell in love with you, Kiva. I am in love with you. Then and now, nothing about that has changed — except now I know the real you.”

--“I chose you, Jaren. I will always choose you. Because I love you, and I —

--“You did know who I was.” Her voice was so choked that it was a wonder he could hear her. She stared at his hand covering hers and forced herself to go on, “You knew me better than I knew myself. I was dead for ten years, and you breathed life back into me. You saved me. You freed me. You made me. And in showing me who you were, in sharing your family and your kingdom and your life with me, in sharing your heart with me, you gave me the strength to carve my own path.”

This is my favorite book of the series. To say that I devoured the book is an understatement. Loved the challenges and the fast pace and obviously the surprise turns as always. Also, I love that we finally see some diversity in this book.

Back in prison Kiva is having an emotional breakdown and feels like the only thing she can do is give up, until an unlikely person mate helps get her back on track.
After Kivas sister steals the throne from Jaren the whole gang prepare to collect four rings separated to kingdoms before anyone else.
Hopefully returning Jarens magic along with them.
As their journey continues awkward encounters, fate and trials have to be overcome.
I sped through this book in less than 24 hours, I was hooked from the get go and I can honestly say it has become one of my favourite series.
The written is amazing the characters are fantastic, there is action, magic, romance and banter.
A new favourite series and I highly recommend.
