I really enjoyed the book but I found some parts to be predictable.
For all the violence, sex and poor-decisions, this book was boring af.
Updated Jan. 26, 2022: Downgraded back to one-star because fuck urban lit. You don't get stars for doing the bare minimum.
Updated Aug. 21, 2021: I bumped the rating up a star. Reading [b:Loving My Wife and Her Sister Too|57490302|Loving My Wife and Her Sister Too|Lady Lissa|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1616419905l/57490302._SY75_.jpg|90023341] made me realize I was too hard on this book. While I'm still mad about the cliff-hanger (and the colorism ... and the xenophobia), I will give this book its due. There's A plot, (most of) the characters feel like real people and the story spends time developing their relationships and conflicts. It still isn't my vibe, but it wasn't as bad as I initially said.

I didn’t hate this book but I was glad when it was done. I don’t want to be unfair to the book or the author but this wasn’t really my cup of tea. There was a lot of language and graphic sexual scenes, which don’t bother me in and of themselves, but it just seemed excessive. I think what bothered me the most was how flat most of the characters were. There were only 2 characters that really experienced any significant growth and one that already had a level of complexity, but all the rest were just flat. Not my cup of tea, but maybe others would enjoy it more.
