Writing style is flat and feels mediocre at best. I think the whole relationship went very fast, and she used a lot of time jumps in order to avoid too much explaining. Also a lot of lose ends and plot holes. Spice is okay, except for the fact that she has a very icky (to me at least) way of describing some of the intimate details that kind of threw me off. Not a fan of the romanticising of gaslighting, violence and a toxic relationship. Honestly wanted to mark this book as DNF, but it’s a rather quick read so I managed to finish it.
