One of the most powerful books I have ever read. Each of the twelve voices
capture the complexity and flawed nature of human life in a beautiful yet often tragic and even sometimes humorous way. I am very impressed by how Bernardine Evaristo created so many distinct voices and perspectives, over different time periods, social classes, etc, and wove them together. This book may be difficult to read/get used to because Bernardine doesn't use quotations and she doesn't remind you which time period each character is in
but I've read a few other books like this recently so I was able to indulge this book with ease.
This book absolutely lives up to the hype.
Everyone should read it.
There's beauty in difference and Girl, Woman, Other embodies this, sincerely.
I can't wait to read more Bernardine Evaristo books!

my mum gave me this book and it was pretty good! I really like all the povs so you can see different aspects of the characters, and how they all tie together. the chapters are quite short so it's an easy read. the end is quite cheesy but I did not like how often it used lesbian slurs 😀 which was very often, in a casual way
