This is one of the best books i’ve ever read. there’s a lot to sit with and unpack, but the clarity in which Yiyun Li writes kept me from wandering off emotionally. An unfathomable loss, losing both your children to suicide, and I will continue to think about the abyss, and the now and now and now—a reminder when navigating my own life, trauma, and grief. Really beautiful, and a staunch honoring of her son(s).
