Was this book revolutionary? No. Was it extremely fun to read? Definitely. It was marketed as the pirates of the Caribbean of books and it absolutely delivered, plus it was very refreshing to have a protagonist who has absolutely no moral qualms about brutality killing people. It’s over all a very entertaining and fun book about pirates (which I’ve been obsessed with my whole life) so id definitely recommend it, however as I’ve said, the story isn’t particularly super original or groundbreaking so i can’t really give it a higher rating but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Could be a fun read for some but nothing about this was enjoyable for me.

Writing is bad, very much info dumpy. The characters are so one dimensional and not interesting at all. Too many things that didn’t make sense in the plot. Just felt very amateurish, couldn’t get past chapter 5.

This was one of the few times where I dove into a book without giving much thought to the summary! I loved Alosa and Riden! I loved their banter, how beautifully Alosa's voice sounded in my mind and the sea! Glorious sea! Part "Pirates of Carribean", part pirate history, this book is one of the many ones I can't wait to read their sequel on 2018!
Not to mention that Alosa know how to sport a pirate Princess fashion image! With a steely edge of course!

Cute, fun, mild romantacy
