To there will be spoilers in this but here are some notes I took while reading:
- spit as lube?
- aren't you worried about STIs?
- Hunter has no purpose in this book beyond being the love interest. He is a prop.
- Every action R takes is based on his ADHD. Like you can be a person and have ADHD? Why do I feel like he doesn't have a personality and only has a bunch of weird symptoms in a trench coat?
- why does Rush still have a job? Or friends?
- WHY ARE YOU FLIRTING ON A WORK EMAIL!!!!????!!!!???
- don't think hyper focus works like that? Wouldn't that be a manic episode? A lot of what he experiences doesn't feel like only ADHD?
- Hunter will absolutely divorce Rush the moment the honeymoon period is over because Rush has no actual methods to cope with his ADHD.
- do men get away with this in real life?
- Hunter is ick possessive and not good possessive.
- SA not handled well.
- aww, love Seven and Molly.
- this really doesn't feel like great ADHD rep but it has moments of realistic acknowledgement.
- Rush is only a "designer" to give him a fake reason to live in Bertha.
- ick ADHD rep.
- PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY AND GET AN STD TEST AFTER YOU LEARN YOUR PARTNER CHEATED ON YOU!?
Anyway. I know the disclaimer at the beginning basically says that Rush's ADHD is valid and he doesn't want to medicate. But people with ADHD aren't just walking symptoms. They are people with a disorder that need help (even if that help isn't medicine). It really felt like the worst rep and made me feel kind of icky thinking about if people read it and don't know a lot about ADHD. Rush is cute and all, but in real life this would never work.
I couldn't suspend my disbelief that Rush would be a functional person who could pay rent and have friends while suffering from untreated ADHD to such an extent.

The revenge plot that kept giving and some on-page karma! Rush's flavour of ADHD gave me anxiety. Hunter was just lovely about ALL of this... Rock solid heart.
