Wow what a book. You cannot believe the ending. Although I wish the ending had gone on a bit longer.

Perfectly paced
Dull ending
Like the big wow at the end that was like oh that's who the killer was, yeah it was dragged out for over 50 pages
But good writing, I like the multiple POV's
But also I have the version where the cover leads you in the opposite direction of who the killer acc is, so misleading

I received this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book.

It's about a girl, Tasha, who dies for thirteen minutes. She's a popular 'barbie' and the main one in a trio. Becca is her estranged best friend from many a year ago. Anyway. Tasha lives and when she does she's suspicious of everyone as to how she got in the water, and enlists the help of Becca.

So. Halfway through. You find out everything. At least you think you do. It all adds up. It is a big twist. Shock. Horror. Etc. But!!! More twists to come. Like another layer!

Couldn't put this down. It's got the 'gone girl' twists etc. Just with more layers.

Definitely recommend!

Teen girls are behaving very badly in this fast-paced, psychological thriller. A teen girl loses her memory after a near-drowning incident. There's a lot of questions about what led her to be in that icy river in the middle of the night and how her friends might be involved.

Layered, surprising, chilling. Kept me questioning characters and perspectives.

I didn’t think I liked this book at first: none of the characters are very likeable, the writing seemed cliche in the beginning and some of the material I found vaguely problematic. But reading it to the end was WELL worth it.
