A clever, well written, atmospheric mystery full of supernatural twists and turns. In the end also a poignant, clever and gut wrenching commentary on a contemporary social issue. A riveting deversion from the realities of the pandemic, or is it?
I loved this! The audio format is excellent and the production outstanding, given that it’s about a podcast. The author had me on tenterhooks, willing to follow him every this way or that.
The podcast is about a little boy who disappeared when he was seven. Rumor has it that the fairies took him, but what really happened? Delicious, heart wrenching and entertaining. I moved straight on to the next in the series!

Throughly enjoying the Six Stories series, this would make a brilliant real life audio series. This one reveals a bit more about our podcaster Scott, whether he likes it or not. An intriguing mix of downright creepy horror and crime mystery with some wonderfully developed characters. And a twist, we all love a twist:)!!
this series is SO FUN and it keeps getting better and better. they're marathon-able, full of twists, with a quiet, underlying issue that the story _really_ focuses around. the setting of the forest was so spooky and i genuinely had to put it down at points because i was so freaked out. spooky vibes always.
the format of the book is always enjoyable too, and if you've liked the first two in the series, you'll probably like this one too.

Really good read. I love the authors note at the end on the purpose of this book. It took me a little while to get into the style of how its laid out but I figured it out easily and just wanted to keep turning pages. Would reccomend. Keen to read the rest of the series, unfortunately I read this one first which is actually the last in the series but I believe they can be read as standalone's.

Written in the style of podcast episodes, this book tells the tale of missing little boy Alfie Marsden and the podcast host Scott Kings interviews about the case.
The book is well written and manages to balance crime and slight horror very well with certain passages being genuinely quite chilling to read. The characters are complex and establish themselves quickly with motives remaining unclear throughout.
The book also manages to end in a shocking and satisfying manner which I definitely did not see coming - some may view it as a tad ridiculous but I thought it worked and provided a twist to an already excellent mystery.
