Another good one. This one is about an attempted presidential assassination. Lots of action. NO EMILY in this one. Good read.

I always enjoy Detective Michael Bennett and his activities with the NYPD and other law enforcement agencies. There wasn't much going on within his family, as there was in prior books, but there was definitely a little storyline with his oldest son, and a friend of the son. However the majority of the story was about an assassination attempt on the president. Michael and his team have to determine who the assassin is, and whether they discover this info in time to save the president. Always enjoyable, Michael Bennett is one of the good guys.

Oh when I discover another beloved James Patterson book, it makes me yearn to jump up and down and call my dad and yell in excitement for the release of our fondness for similar books. But alas I cannot. So I therefore read these with a sense of anticipation tinged melancholy. Yet another fabulous Michael Bennett book.

Took awhile to get used to Michael Ledwidges writing style, but once I did i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not the strongest of Michael Bennett stories. A bit of a disappointment this one

I'd give this book 3.5 stars. Again, great plot that kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat but the ending was too abrupt. This has been a common theme in a lot of Patterson's writing. It doesn't mean I'll stop reading him but I keep noticing that the books feel rushed at the end. I also would've liked a bit more of Mike's story in this one which I felt was also lacking.

I know its a cop thriller but I would like more family moments with the kids, not just his girlfriend.
