I am not from New Zealand, but this book taught me about what is a serious, shameful crisis both in that area of the world and all over. The recent Syrian immigration crisis in Europe and the rest of the world brings the issues this book discusses and analyzes into sharp importance. Barnett's writing is effective, moving, and clear - it is unacceptable to continue treating human beings this way. An excellent piece of writing that explains an often-undiscussed issue.
