Jotenkin ihan sika hieno. Veti mukanaan. Kaksi uutta tuttavuutta mulle: kauhu ja novellit. Suomentajan jälkisanat teki kirjasta vieläkin paremmat

Another book I thought was going to be horror, but ended up being a lot more emotional than horrific. It's a lot of tragic backstories or just tragic stories, but it still won me over. It's not my style of horror for the most part, I was never scared or thrilled, but these were still extremely well written stories. The characters were very human, very faulty and I really liked that, gave this a ton of depth and made the stories interesting and relatable. Sometimes a story would really go off the rails into a tangent, but it was never boring, def kept my interest throughout. Most of the stories do end VERY abruptly, which is fine sometimes and other times left me wanting a BIT more. I don't mind not having things explained, but some of these really just ended. Still, all in all this was a good book and I would definitely read this author again.

This collection is notable for its wonderfully sharp and saturated portrait of Argentina. But the horrors were too literal and the gore too explicit for these stories to truly unnerve me.

El primer libro que me hace sentir miedo desde los ocho años. Miedo real. Cuidaos de sacar los pies de las sábanas después de leerlo.
