I read this on the plane back from Kona and finished it while waiting for our flight to Reno. That's pretty much my recommendation.

I was so happy with the book before the last chapter, I was planning on giving it five stars. The last chapter is, however, important because change doesn't happen overnight and that's kind of the point with the last chapter. What we do see is a willingness in her to change. I loved most of the book, especially halfway through. I sometimes hated what Rebecca was doing but still enjoyed reading. Definitely a fun beach read for sure.

This was running on a 2-star rating for me up until I reached about 70% of the book when things started getting a bit interesting. Thank goodness it got interesting at the last part!
To be honest, it wasn't all that bad to begin with. In fact, I was really enjoying the first few chapters and was even having a good laugh at how funny it was written given that Becky's life is a bit miserable. But at some point, it started to get repetitive and I felt like nothing was really happening in the story.
Good thing it got interesting at the last part and I began to enjoy the book again. I guess this was how slow burns were written in those years. I ended up giving it 3 stars, but I'm still not sure when or if I will still continue on with the series because this almost put me back in a slump.

Not bad at all ! A really funny, light and entertaining read. Recommended, especially if you're in need of a good laugh :)
