Nope, Nope, NOO!! I was so sad to not like this book. I liked the movie okay and was expecting a quick, light, and funny read. Well, it was quick. Other than that I found the main character, Becky, to be completely insufferable. She as a liar, manipulative, irresponsible and so many other things that make her dislikable. It's hard to like a book when you can't at least like the main character. I didn't even find a bit of it to be funny. I'm highly disappointed because I had heard so many great things about Sophie Kinsella's writing. :-(
**I'm not trying to offend anyone that loves this book. It's great if you are able to get something out of it that I didn't.

This book was a lot of fun to read. Becky has a habit of being a tiny bit annoying. This is def a chick lit book. I did find myself laugh out loud which is always great.

I really liked this one. The title really does say it all. Becky Bloomwood is a hopeless shopping fiend and no matter what she tries, she can't break herself of it. Fortunately through a series of hilarious and almost absurd coincidences, she comes out on top of things, but no less a shopaholic.
I'll admit, there were times when she was thrown into a nasty mess that I thought "Ok, now that's just a bit TOO ridiculous" but never was it actually completely unbelievable. It's all possible, but you just think no one could be THAT unlucky.
Even still, I sped through it because I was so completely entertained by the trials of Becky.

Shallow character with no development. No thanks.
I did love this book, but not until after i finished it! All of her money problems made me very antsy, because money troubles are very stressful for me. and sometimes I get really exasperated with the main character, but she's loveable in the end. It's a VERY funny read and I think the series gets better as it goes along!
You seriously have to like to shop and care about labels. The story was just average unless you could follow the brands and share the passion
First time I read this book was about 20 years ago when it first came out. It was an enjoyable read then and I wanted something fun and light to listen to, so this was perfect. Has a Legally Blonde and Bridget Jones’ Diary feel to it. Enjoyed the audio.
