I read something comparing this book to the work of Arthur Conan Doyle. Apparently the person that wrote that is smoking crack. These stories are far weaker than Doyle's. There is a reason you have never heard of this author or this detective. The best thing about reading this collection of short stories is that it filled a prompt for a reading challenge I am doing.
