very beautiful and powerful read. Ruby stole my heart. There were times Eleanor's pov was tedious but they were both very real feeling characters. Can definitely tell how much research when into the book with how well fleshed out the story felt. Glad to have some of this history known from our perspective. Loved the author's note at the end

I couldn't put this story down. It was very well written, and I loved the 2 different points of view.

Everyone needs to read The House of Eve. It was a glimpse into two women's stories that have surely happened thousands of times behind closed doors. Heartbreaking, beautiful, and one of the better endings I've read in a while.
