Audio: 5 million stars, Michael Ferriauolo is Leland and crew!
Book: 4.5 stars
I loved this new addition to the series, while it isn't my favorite of the 5 (6 including Cassel and Jerebear's) books, this still made me laugh and kept me engaged through all their adventures.
I hope that not only Tavish has a book but Micha and Everly too! This group of characters keeps growing and I am not mad about it! It leaves room for more Hitman books and that is a win to me! haha

As our adventures with Leland and Jackson, and their assorted crew of rather reluctant friends and colleagues, we definitely went out with a huge bang.
From beginning to end, Leland and Jackson are non-stop. There's fuckery afoot (isn't there always?), and the lives of the people Leland cares about most are at risk. And Leland is not about to let that slide.
I will say Leland wasn't quite as annoying in this book as he was in the previous two, but that's mostly because there just was too much going on. Leland didn't really have time to get up to too many of his usual antics - though he definitely had more than enough time to arm himself and everyone around him quite adequately.
In a way, this didn't reel like a true conclusion. I feel like there's more that could be coming. There does seem to be some unfinished business between Leland and the man who trained him as a hitman. As far as I'm aware, there are no plans to continue this series, but I've learned to never say never.

I am madly in love with this unhinged, utterly dysfunctional, yet entirely loveable found family that never fails to make me laugh so hard my face hurts!
Leland and Jackson continue to be madly in love while Leland drags Jackson and their friends along on his ridiculously funny schemes that they all pretend to hate but secretly somehow love. Mostly. It's fantastic to see Leland leaning on Jackson when he starts to get in his own head, and I love them both so much.
I also love how mad Leland gets over how cute Cassel is while obviously loving him in his own way that includes kidnapping Cassel and Jeremy for a fun double date. With Henry of course, who seems to be more and more into Leland's crazy ideas though he'll never stop grumbling and pretending he's above it all. I also freaking love that Henry is included in all of Leland's text chains.
And the new guys! I really enjoy both Tavish and Micah and omfg, Leland and Jackson'saccidental baby teen acquisition is fantastic!!
Cassel continues to be my baby darling fave (don't tell Leland though), I just adore him and his positivity and badassery.
The boat scene had me laughing so hard I nearly choked, it might be the funniest thing I've ever read and the narrator made it even better than I imagine it was in the physical book. Peak comedy!
Man, I'm so upset I have no more books in this series to read, I have a feeling these are books I'll come back to often as comfort reads. The audiobooks are so brilliant, I love when a narrator is so perfect for a book they make it even better than on paper.

Hilarious
You can never go wrong with Leland and Jackson. Every book of theirs is funnier and crazier than the one before. Of course, you need to forget reality when you read these books because I don't think there's anyone close to as crazy (read: AWESOME) as Leland in the real world. This story had as many sweet (and painful) parts as it did funny ones, and I loved seeing how Leland is slowly growing into himself with Jackson's love and support. I'd love to read Tavish, Micah, and Everly's (especially Everly's) story someday too.
