It has been a long time since I cried while reading a book (maybe because it triggered me so much)
Note to myself: take the TW seriously!!

It is a 5 stars AND behond.

I don’t know where to begin.
This is one of my favorite book EVER. And I don’t say it lightly.

I loved Nikolai since the first book of the series. I love crazy unhindged characters.
I loved Brandon as much because he is the shy sensible one.
This book was obviously made for me.
Not only it didn’t disappoint me but it exceeded all my expectations.

You will also met Kolya.
It is my third favorite characters after Nikolai and Bran but before Jeremy.
It made me laughed SO LOUD and SO many times that it was awesome.

This book is a masterpiece of tenderness, happiness, tension and also addresses very sensitive topics like suǐcīde, self-hårm and rãpě.

The audiobook is also a masterpiece.
The audiobook is narrated by @Teddy Hamilton and @Shane East. They’ve done an amazing work. They are perfect.

Please check the TW. It’s important for your mental health.

Finally a book with consent! I really enjoyed this one.
Some bits were a bit cringey and the naming his penis thing freaked me out a bit but I got through the book.
I enjoyed the plot and the characters development.
Definitely my favourite of the series. I don't like the previous books that much but this gave me hope and I will probably read the last book as well as its been building up for a while now and the author said it will be similar to this one so fingers crossed the consent is there.

I went into this expecting to love it and I was right. I was a little worried about starting with the second-to-last book in the series, but as a standalone, it works very well. There were characters and storylines that obviously were meant to be resolved in other books, but they didn't confuse me or make me feel like I was missing out on anything.

I wasn't super fond of Brandon's push and pull, but given the direction of his storyline, I eventually understood it. Regardless, it was frustrating asf at the time.

These two are. Whoo. They are intense for each other. Jealous, possessive, murderous. It's all very sweet.

Nikolai's rabid golden retriever energy is all I live for and the way he is immediately all in for Bran just makes my heart flutter.

The conversation the day after they go all the way for the first time had me kicking and squealing like you would not believe. I love them.

The spice manages to be unique and *very* spicy every time, despite the fact that the bottom never gets the chance to top, which is something I've come to look forward to in MM books where one or both MCs have only been with women. That's just a personal like, though so I didn't hold it against the author.

All in all an okay story with decent writing, A+ characters and fantastic spice.

𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 5 ⭐️

“𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙮.”

So this one was the GWLBWLB Book Club’s April pick!

By the end of the first chapter I knew I was probably reading a favorite of 2024. I may have been late to this one but it hit me all the same. The fact that Brandon has Synesthesia is phenomenal. I really haven’t seen that mentioned but him seeing colors is the coolest thing EVER. I’m so jealous of people who can do that! And Nikolai is ridiculous. He has zero moral compass but his obsession with Bran was done perfectly! Bran is a grumpy golden boy and Niko is a slightly crazed golden retriever. Bran is neurotically organized and Niko is chaotically unorganized. Complete opposites and yet absolutely perfect for each other.

On to the story. WHOA. I felt every single emotion. This one is trigger happy. It’s sad and intense and brutal at times. I cried at least 3 times. Multiple times apart but y’all, it was NEEDED. And despite all the pain there was so much beauty. Bran and Niko are one of the BEST couples I’ve ever gotten to know. Both have demons lurking and tormenting them but the way they each fought for the other? Superb! It took a lot to get to the end but these two fought tooth and nail and never gave up.

I’m honestly obsessed. I wasn’t expecting the humor at all. Chapter 32 was the best surprise. Chapter 24 was my absolute favorite chapter. I loved the push:pull. I highlighted at least 30% of the book. This one took me days to get through the first 65% because it was heavy. But I devoured that last 35% and solidified God of Fury as a favorite 2024 read. And I may have to read the others now too. Seriously, I knew going in that this would be tough and it WAS, but by the end I was floating.
