I started reading this series for this specific book and I’m SO glad I did! While this could be read as a standalone, it’s so much richer when you get to know the other characters and situations first. Also knowing this one was coming meant all their little breadcrumbs in the prior books were so much sweeter for it.

Nikolai had me laughing out loud so much throughout, and I found myself so much more sympathetic to Brandon, when throughout the series he seems like this golden boy. It was such a surprise hearing his inner thoughts and understanding why he was the way he was.

Check the trigger warnings (as with all Rina Kent’s books), but this was SO fantastic. Also Shane East and Teddy Hamilton were the PERFECT voices and had stellar performances for this one. Highly recommend listening to the audiobook if possible!

Is it hot in here? Or is it just me?
OMG this was so goooood.
If anything, I regret jumping right to book 5. It's standalone but better understood with more context.

Finished it for the third time. This is like the Best audiobook ever. 6 stars.
I love these boys more and more every time.

Finished it for the second time.
I just love this book.
This is the perfect dark romance relationship. I happen to love Rina Kent's flavor of angst.

How can the male characters be so deranged and still manage a love so pure?

Holy hell!! Such a freaking easy 5 stars!

I love Nikolai and Bran so freaking much, they were everything i expected and more. I truely was so in love with both of them and their stories

Even before i read this book i knew Bran and Niko would become apart of my being, seeing so many spoilers that i didn't even care about. It truely still made the book so freaking good

I'm wish i didn't finish it and stayed with these boys forever, Rina truely did them justice

God i wish could hug Bran and just protect him forever, my heart broke so much and seeing all he goes through truely broke me, but having Niko there was what Bran needed

GOD TIER !!! Even a 6 star

I think I just read the best mm book of my life. It is a true crime to not like this book. Nothing will EVER come close to the feelings I get from reading this book. NikoBran bringing it home fr.

Nikolai might be the sweetest and most doting boyfriend of out of all the other guys, insane I know. But he is just a big crazy teddy bear with golden retriever energy through and through like our Brandon said. I can’t even imagine people not liking him.

When Nikolai said how he would catch on fire if Brandon so much ask him of that or even when Bran hated himself, he would love him enough for both of them, I sobbed. Niko is THE book boyfriend. I will accept no criticism. Brandon is my also sweet child and that title will never be revoked as long as I live.

And can we talk about how they both are two sappy fools in love, we all know NikoBran took pride in their nickname for each other which is “baby”, I am in puddle of melting alongside with Astrid.

And we got the closure with Landon and Brandon, I lived for it. They are now officially the sappiest each other’s half now, be right back wiping my tears.

I didn’t know Rina has it in her to bring the best game for her first mm romance, now I want her to give birth to all the upcoming mm masterpieces. I am upset we are not getting the older Carson’s not-so-straight adventures T T

Opposites definitely attract here, and no one writes that better than Rina Kent.
And this one? God of Fury hit so much harder for me compared to the others. It wasn’t just about romance; it touched on deeper, heavier topics and actually handled them with so much care. Definitely one of the most emotional books of the series ❤️‍🩹

Let’s talk about Nikolai first. OMG. I wasn’t ready for how different he’d be here compared to the glimpses we’ve seen in other books. His POV? Gold! Every single line had me laughing, giggling, or lowkey kicking my feet. He’s chaotic, unhinged, but also so vulnerable underneath all that.

And Bran. Sweet, innocent Bran. Finally getting his POV broke me in the best way. He deserves the biggest hug in the world. His chapters were raw, intimate, and had me bawling my eyes out. Seeing his side of things just made me love him even more 😭
The dynamic between Nikolai and Brandon? Pure perfection. The tension, the banter, the push and pull was just magnetic. Honestly, was there much plot? Not really. It was pretty much just them and their messy, addictive relationship, with the ;actual' plot sneaking in at the end. Do I care? Nah because I totally devoured the book and was here for it, the emotional aspect definitely made up for it.

At the end of the day, Niko and Bran own my whole heart. This book had me laughing, crying, swooning, and clutching my chest. Definitely one of my faves of the series so far 💛
