Too much sex. Too much talk. Weird stuff alert!
I dont know.....

Natalie has always known she's been adopted but she's loved growing up in Nebraska even if she's never been out of state. All this changes when in the search for her biological parents she is whisked away to Russia by Sevastyan to meet her father. Natalie can't deny her attraction to Sevastyan but she's reluctant to let him in to her life romantically if he can't open up to her emotionally. When danger throws them together they can't deny the sparks but will Sevastyan be able to share his past before Natalie walks away? Great read, loved the characters and the danger. Very sexy read!

Cole writes such fun women and such RUDE men.

After my reread about 2 years later, my reading opinion has changed. I liked this one a lot more this time around, now when I'm huge reader of romance. 3.7 stars. Intruiged to read book two

Honestly, I enjoyed this way more than I expected. This works as an erotic novel, but not quite so much as a romance. Everything is over-the-top, but it's so insane that it crosses the threshold into complete suspension of reality. Why does virginity matter so much? Not a fucking clue. Does the grad student who studies gender theory spend anytime truly analyzing this bizarre "russian mafia virginity obsession" phenomenon? Nope. Sevastyan is insanely rich, insanely violent, insanely emotionally repressed. None of what happens is remotely okay in the normal world. But the sex is really hot.

It was yet another example of an unhealthy BDSM relationship. But it was well written as far as the story itself went. I just spent 90% of the book upset because no one understood what consent meant.

1.5 stars because ... I love Kresley.

But not this book.

Annoying virgin heroine? Insane, stalkery hero? INCREDIBLY unrealistc sidekick bff who constantly refers to her friend's virginity as her "skintag" (ICK)?? Unrealistic sex? Unrealistic relationship expectations?

CHECK CHECK CHECK.

I absolutely love this book! I love that Nat doesn't take shit from Sebastian. I adore the relationship between Nat and her dad. It is sweet and so special. The sexual tension and complexity of Sebastian is palpable and you actually feel his war with himself. I love that Nat has the manalizer and her pull to Sebastian! Cannot wait to read more!!
