A novel where dreams and fantasies intermingle with, and are a part of, the plot. It is typical of Winterson to write in this way and a part of the reason why I love her books, who else could create a character as visually unappealing as the 'Dog-woman' and yet, at the same time, so appealing. Characters are unbelievable and their adventures are nothing short of astounding. As with many of Winterspn's novels 'Sexing the Cherry' challenges ideas about gender, sexuality and time in ways that will have you dazed, confused and deeply enthralled by it all.

One of the oddest, most whimsical things I've read by Winterson but wonderful as always. There was so much to take in with this novel that I feel like I need to read it again to really absorb it all.
I’m not sure my timing was great when I picked this up, my mind was bit all over the place and wasn’t great at concentrating. That said this is quit a fantastical read which reminded me of fairy tales. I really didn’t have a clue what was going on but did kind of enjoy some if.
Interesting enough but not really my sort of thing.
I am only 15 pages in, but that's it. Jeanette Winterson is one of my favorite authors. Her writing is THRILLING to me. She just does whatever the heck she wants! People clutching mops, being hoisted upwards by balloon to clean the mess of words from the sky...a house with no floors but furniture suspended by chain over abysses...!!! Maybe these things will tie together, maybe they won't, but I do not care. I am stupidly happy to be on this ride.
