Forget Me Not
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Wow, I really enjoyed this book. It was such a pleasant surprise, and it had me totally hooked from the beginning! I normally am not a fan of dual timelines, but I honestly think that Julie nailed this one. It was so well constructed and paced between the past and present point of views. I loved the MC's, Elliot and Ama, and seeing their relationship from each point of view and timeline. It was so engaging and intriguing. Ama is so independent and strong, as is Elliot, but each have their own struggles to work through. They are so totally opposite but also go together like peanut butter and jelly (well maybe not peanut butter, IYKYK 🤣). I just wish we had even more of these two in the final chapters!! Also, may I just say...I can't wait to read more by Julie Soto! I hope we get a peak of these two again.

It's....fine. Idk. Not really my vibe like I thought it would be. The narrators for the audiobook gave every single woman the most outrageous valley girl California accent and it was hard to bear at times. It made everything come off much whinier. Elliott is the most emo man I've ever read in my life and considering the amount of romantasy I've read that's really saying something lmfao. Everything is the worst problem to ever happen to him and he is wildly rude to everyone and somehow that has??? No consequences ever????? Idk. The plot was fine but I wasn't ever eager to pick it back up and see what happened next. It's a quick read with loads of smut that I honestly ended up skipping anyway. I did like the ending though, I liked that it wasn't 100% cut and dry with Elliott and ama. Everything else was just kinda meh for me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Forget Me Not was a fun, steamy, emotional read that kept me on my toes and turning pages all day.

This book was so fun! I initially wanted to wait to read this until after my wedding, but the plot didn’t give me any nightmares or budget envy. Instead it showed me Ama, an amazing wedding planner, and her second chance with Elliot, the grumpiest floral designer in the world.

I really loved the characters, the dual timeline, the weddings, and the chemistry between Ama and Elliot. I loved how he took care of her, how they set, maintained, and self-adjusted their boundaries, and how they made each other sparkle.

I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next from Julie Soto, she’s definitely getting added to my list of auto-buy authors. 4 stars

The MC, Elliott was a great leading man who was a great grumpy/sunshine leading man who had no issue falling head first in love with Ama. Both leading characters were successful, career-oriented people, which was something I really enjoyed about the story. The forced proximity was perfect for Ama and Elliot’s growing feelings and steamy attraction for one another. Also, the dual POV was done so well and really contributed to the loveliness of the story overall.

The narration by Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton was perfect and engaging.

Thank you Hachette Audio for the alc. Thoughts expressed in this review are my own.

Age rating: 17+ (5-6 brief spicy scenes, 2/5🌶️)

If you like extreme “he falls first and falls harder” trope to where he is basically delulu, this is for you. Elliot is “satellite” by Harry Styles. I will say, I respect the heck out of Ama, because she is a queen who knows what she wants and she goes and gets it. She has this tall grumpy brooding man on a LEASH for her, even when she doesn’t want marriage or even a relationship/commitment, and he does.

I thought it was a good choice to have it only show Elliot’s POV in the past and only Ama’s POV in the present! I liked the overall plot with the forced proximity as they work on a high-profile wedding together. The overall pacing was good, and it went on the faster side. I think my issue was that Elliot thought he could change Ama’s mind, which felt very delusional and annoying to me. Also, the resolution was EXTREMELY fast, and I feel like it wasn’t even actually resolved, they just kinda skipped over the issues.

Overall, this wasn’t bad by any means, but it wasn’t my favorite.

Thanks to Libro FM for the free copy of this book.

 - FORGET ME NOT is a delicious second chance romance told through a dual timeline, with the woman's chapters in the present day and the man's chapters in the past, recalling their relationship and breakup.
- I listened to the audiobook, and while the performances were good, the male narrator was a bit too committed to being the grumpy in the grumpy/sunshine, often sounding like he was rolling his eyes at the end of every sentence, even during spicy scenes the character was clearly into.
- Aside from that, this is was lovely, tender story of two people finding their way back to each other, all while surrounded by excellent supporting characters.
- Plus, I won't give away the ending, but I loved it and how it broke the mold.
