I've read this title many times over the years. I love that my library has a bilingual version that I can share during our preschool storytime.

Seriously fun to read aloud. (Is "seriously fun" an oxymoron?)

Yet another book about a youngling who just won't stay put. It's like Peter Rabbit all over again, except this bird didn't actually get told to stay in the nest. But stilllllll!!! This bird is like my friend's pet beagle, who ran out of her house searching for her when she failed to say "I'll be back" before leaving for the gym.

Cute book about a little bird who goes on a search to find it's mother. She visits numerous things on it's way like a cow and the 'snort.'

I have always thought of this as the first book I ever read for myself. It is not as brilliantly written as the best of the Dr. Seuss books but there's a certain amusing quality to it. And I like how the baby bird panics and moves faster and doesn't distinguish between animals and machinery.
