A fantastical twisting of the Stagger Lee tale, here Staggerlee meets his match in the Wolf at a bar fight then tracks her across a frozen forest landscape, trailed by Delia, a woman from his past. The pervasive grim atmosphere and Staggerlee's cold obsession with violence leads to a resolution both fitting and defiant.
