A perfect adventure. I love this book, can't put my finger on why, I just do. The subtle and then outright humor draw you in and the personal connections you draw to these characters keeps you engaged until the end. I've read it twice and I got more out of it the second time. I love this author altogether and I recommend his book because they are so well written and planned out. This one is on my reread shelf because it is just a great book. By the way, this is the perfect book to read right before you leave for college. It helped me settle some of my anxiety and I am eternally thankful for that.

One thing I like about John Green's writing (from the two books I've read) is the style. He's a very witty writer and sometimes the things he says can catch you off guard. There were so many little bits in this story that were funny enough to have me actually laugh.

I think the characters in this story were really well done. They felt like real teens in a lot of ways, and I think that comes a lot from just the extra shading that's given. Details and scenes that really aren't "necessary" to the story that get added in just build so much depth to this story. It feels lived in.

While I was reading the ending, I experienced a lot of melancholy, which my brain fought against. The ending really suits the theme and message of the story, and anything grand or blissful wouldn't have fit. It really couldn't have ended any other way, but I can't fight that part of myself that hopes for a nice little bow on my stories sometimes. Still, I think the ending we got was the most satisfying one we could've gotten, and also the most realistic by miles.

I really enjoyed this read. It was fun and grounded in ways I didn't expect going into it.

NOOOO

For me, a normal YA novel snob, this book was a wonder. The author catches so many feelings superbly and it thrives with insight and surprise. You can say that it is in part wish fulfillment, but what is so bad about it? Highly recommended even to not so enthusiastic readers out there

Loved it, book defo better then the film, read the book and watched the film after.
Ended not exactly how you would hope but gives you alot of things to consider and think about.

it was a cute book and ngl i kinda liked the open ending but then again nothing too special

Fun adventures. Quirky characters. Loved the concept!

My favorite of the John Green books I've read.

I LOVE SOLVING MYSTERIES! this book lays out clues and the characters follow one to the next to the next and that is my favorite thing IN THE WORLD. fun, quirky, good dialogue; if you’re going to read a john green book, read this one. (leave the rest on the shelf, his other stuff isn’t really worth your time. it’s literally the same book over and over.)
