I enjoyed this more than the first book in the duology. I feel as though I simultaneously had little complaint with what it was, but it felt as though it wasn't quite living up to the potential of the more satisfying book I wanted it to be. Still, I got through it quite quickly, and found Silver an infinitely more enjoyable narrator than Tobias (sorry, Toby). A lot of the descriptions
Spoilerlike the pink sky and the weird obelisks
were evocative and interesting, and I came to like the back-and-forth unravelling of what happened with Toby and Silver's relationship. I think I came around to four stars because I really did like Silver's character arc, though overall the duology left me with a bit of a feeling of more to be desired.

Set two years after Silver in the Wood, this novella sees Henry Silver grapple with the implications of his newfound immortality and with his estrangement from Tobias Finch. I liked this, though not as much of the first book. I didn't think that Silver's characterisation quite meshed with what had previously been established of him and the conflict between him and Tobias wasn't dealt with deftly enough. Also, for a novel about Green Men: not enough woods. Enjoyable, but I don't think it will linger in my memory.

A beautiful conclusion to the duology. An easy read, finished in just under two hours. Very glad there was a happy ending. Somehow Tesh managed to tie up all the plot threads with each other in a way that felt just right. Overall a wonderful love story.

A good follow up. I particularly enjoyed the characters and the humour.

Loved seeing Henry’s point of view! Maid was a fun addition too. A great conclusion to a short and mostly stress free duology

Surprisingly I enjoyed it more than the first story which is unusual, usually the sequel is worse.

Henry Silver/The Green Man of Greenhollow Wood is sulking. Things aren't going his way and he is ever so spoiled. So he sulks. And then a vampire, a fairy, and a young woman in an interesting set of circumstances manage to get him out of his sulk.

I loved getting to see more of Henry and Tobias. To see how they're doing with the switch of their roles was interesting. Though, I felt like the step away from the woods made me sad. The vampire was a good addition, but I felt like it drew this to be more towards gothic horror than folk horror. So I feel like that's where some of the stars were missing for me.

All in All though, I still love these two men together <3.
