DNFed this one 200 pages in. It was just too confusing for me unfortunately. Maybe if I read the next one first?

Rly enjoyed it, but it would’ve been better broken into more books with more details…the love story was rushed and didn’t make much sense, but the world is cool and I loved the concepts. It just somehow felt both rushed and dragging at the same time because of how much was crammed into it.

I tried twice and hated it both times. Reading spoilery reviews of people with similar tastes has solidified my DNF.

It was a battle to get through the first 100-200 pages and wrap my head around what was going on but i’m glad i stuck it out & i ended up getting very invested

I really enjoyed the world of the Priory of the Orange Tree. It’s basis in history and reality made it feel grounded, while it’s fantastical diversions brought it to Life. I had great affection for a lot of the characters, but I didn’t really love any of them, so I had a hard time staying engaged for extended periods of time. That being said, I felt like the story had good pay off, and it’s definitely worth the read.
