Stunning. Only word for it. The vignette style was the perfect vehicle for this interesting, thought-provoking little story. The characters were all interesting, if not completely fully realized, which is why this isn't a full five star read for me. But I cannot wait to see what Luchette comes out with next because this book was a triumph. And that cover!

This book was really perfect. I loved Agatha and her internal struggles, her anger with the world, and her care and lack of judgement of others. I'm sure there is some personal connection to this struggle with the church, but I think this is something a lot of people can connect with. The writing is emotional, but dry and never saccharine. Wanted to hug it at the end. Perfect.
