This is a fun read. There's a lot of POV flipping that's not always immediately apparent unfortunately. The charecters can get annoying at times, but you gotta love em. I do wish the handling of matriarchal societies was handled better.

IDEK what to say about this. It's half hilarious Star Wars fun, and half incredibly cringey/problematic stuff that I cannot believe I was so into when I read this as a kid.
Moderate: Violence and Kidnapping

I want so badly to enjoy this. I love a romance, I love a sci fi. I did not enjoy it very much at all. The world building is interesting, coming up with ideas that eventual star wars canon dropped but were intriguing. Or ideas they kept because they were so intriguing! But the author seems to not understand like. Women at all. His Leia is flat and only worries about Boys. Her feelings change on a dime, and she has very little nerve. His Han Solo isn't just like, Ooo a scoundrel, he's a whole kidnapper who is treated kindly by the narrative as if it is completely understandable for someone to drug their own girlfriend to kidnap her and prove their love.
He introduces two separate societies that are matriarchal. Which seems to be primarily an excuse to have Hot Dominating Women who Love to Control Men. The attempts at "sexism is bad" are laughable. Another girl is eventually introduced to the main cast, and she spends most of her time, you guessed it, thinking about men.
Just... Read something else if you actually like the characters of Leia or Han
