Another Roald Dahl book that I've actually never heard of before! It was cute and magical. All the concoctions George makes are crazy and the side effects are very funny. Adult me could only think 'but that would kill a person' while kid me would have just thought this was funny.
Yeah, I'm probably overthinking it as I didn't read this one as a kid, but it's pretty sick. Dahl is quite dark, but this goes to another level. Animal cruelty as well.
Just finished reading this to my children, they've enjoyed it just as much as I did when I was little :)
Lots of funny moments and dialogue, but a little weak on plot and the ending seemed abrupt. My family listened to this book as we drove home on Easter and it kept us laughing.

I just listened to the audiobook. Mischief and science. Fun and cute though twistedstory. The writing is brilliant. Such great use of language. So much cleverness to it. I could imagine everything it was so descriptive. Put a huge smile on my face. Never too old for children's books. I really enjoyed it.
Another classic Roald Dahl book. Sweet story with lots of imagination.
