roald dahl ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very silly and ridiculous

It was interesting at first, but towards the end, it had grown somewhat monotonous.

One of Dahl's shorter stories, aimed at a younger audience as George decides to teach his Grandma a lesson. Grandma is a fantastically unpleasant creation who starts off nasty but then enters another realm entirely hinting at a darker mystical nature. So George plays doctor and creates his own medicine to stir things up a bit. Encouraging kids everywhere to create highly toxic poisons using househhold substances, the outcome is entertaining and ultimately quite dark. Note his Father's glee, his Mother's quick acceptance and George's contemplative trembly reflection on events at the ending.

It's all rather fun (and the perfect distraction from the essay I'm trying to finish).

Fantastic book for kids! So imaginative and creative. Easy read that children will find delightful!

Roald Dahl is always brilliant! His stories and rhymes are fun and entertaining! Some of my all time favorites!! Such a great way to entertain children and get them interested in reading!

Re-read this on a whim out of nostalgia, this is such a savage but funny story, brought me right back to my childhood.

So chaotic! But a very funny and out of this world tale. Perfect for the 6-7-8 year olds who appreciate silliness.

Cute story about a boy who is tormented by his maternal grandma and decides to get revenge by brewing a medicine that will replace her prescription medicine.  Silly, but funny and sweet.
